Perfect for a peaceful escape
The hosts Michelle and David were incredibly welcoming, treating us like family right from the start. I especially loved the large room with its huge comfortable bed and spotless en-suite that made it feel like a luxurious retreat.
It wasn’t inexpensive, but still reasonable for what we got.

The breakfasts here are delicious, featuring a wide selection of locally sourced options, and the homemade cake left in the room daily adds a nice touch. The en-suite facilities are exceptional, with a spacious room and a really comfortable bed.
The property presents itself poorly, resembling a run-down establishment with cramped quarters that have an unpleasant smell of cleaning supplies and mold. Accessing the property can be a challenge due to a lack of responsive communication, and the overall feel of the place is disappointing compared to the advertised charm.

the chapel in stonehaven was a big disappointment, their so-called 'double room' felt more like a shabby little shack. absolutley, no one at the property to give me an upgrade, despite the terrible smell of mold and cleaning supplies. the proprietor was argumentative rather than apologetic. i almost wrote a good review, but just couldn’t endure it.

A Charming Rural Escape
I had a delightful stay surrounded by beautiful meadows and pristine countryside. The room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, offering a cozy atmosphere to unwind. Breakfast was an absolute highlight, featuring fantastic locally sourced ingredients, including home-cured bacon that was beyond delicious. If there's one thing that could have been improved, it would be a bit more variety in the breakfast offerings.
